#PalacesandGardens #Paris A Black locust tree, the oldest tree in Paris near the church Saint Julien le Pauvre. (Robinier pseudoacacia) It was planted in 1601 by King Henry IV's gardener Jean Robin. In 2011 this tree measured 11 meters high with a trunk of 3.38 meters in circumference.

Eustache Dauger, titled the Man in the Iron Mask by Voltaire, died today, November 10, 1703 in his room at the Bastille, Paris, France. He probably died of a heart attack. He was buried in the Bastille parish cemetery a few blocks down the rue Saint Antoine the next day, November 11.

to work on the mystery. Published by a small publisher so no one is aware of it. Photos of where the Man in the Iron Mask may have lived, Charlemagne, Oger the Dane, Habsburg genes...you will be held prisoner by the detective trek through 17th-century France AND...a famous tree is the biggest clue!

A serpent seen near the royal bed,
It will be by the lady, no dogs will bark:
Then to be born in France a Prince so royal,
All the Princes will say he comes from heaven.

I noticed, very near Auger-Saint-Vincent, a tiny icon of a single tree and it intrigued me. It was labeled the “Arbre de Beaulieu”… the “Tree of Beaulieu.” It was next to another icon for a minor religious establishment labeled “Beaulieu.” (3)

I haven't been able to find anyone to make a sample or to take on this project. I would love to have such a purse. Is there anyone on Bluesky who thinks this is a good idea? Maybe if I could get enough women interested I could make a better case to purse makers.

We had to take down an 80-ft oak in our back yard last fall because it died. I hated to see it go. Last evening I saw that this little volunteer has sprouted from a heavily mulched bed just 20 ft away from its disappeared parent. Joy. #gardening #bloomscrolling 🌱

While researching the history of the famous French prisoner Eustache Dauger I discovered that Anne of Austria might have used a friend's baby to be dauphin to France in 1638 and it has been a secret until now...i.e. Louis XIV was a fraud. *Second Son* Legacy Sector. 2024.

I answered questions on what sort of person Louvois was and whether Anne of Austria could ever have committed adultery (No). The documentary will be on the French channel "Canal+" on their series "Planet" probably early to mid 2026 and there will be an English version. #skystorians

Paris' Notre Dame is beautiful---it has new lighting, all is piercingly clean, and there's a motorized tiny lift for wheelchair riders to get on to rise the 2-step distance to the upper chancel floor. It rises out of the stone pavement, has a little stone facade of its very own. #disability

A comparison of the old staircase at the BNF with the Voltaire statue and the new staircase just created in the BNF Richelieu library. They moved the Voltaire statue, which I show in my book *Second Son* up to the top of the stairs. They kept it! Bravo!

My book *Second Son, the Man in the Iron Mask,* is available as e-book from my publisher -$19- who needs the $ just like I do. The parallels to what happened in this mysterious political drama in 1669 and what is happening in 2025 are astounding. legacysector.com/product/e-bo...

Chapter 10 of Second Son, the Man in the Iron Mask, is about two people: Anne of Austria and Cardinal Mazarin. It shows that the queen's extremely Catholic beliefs may have led her to find a surrogate baby to be dauphin when she could not become a mother. #bookskykystorians #skystorians

The stories of the prisoners of Pignerol, Exiles, Sainte-Marguerite island, and the Bastille are heart-breaking. sometimes funny, and are just like those of prisoners today. The mystery of the Man in the Iron Mask is a modern story about the illegal putting away of what is inconvenient.

(2) Colbert arranged for Fouquet to go to prison for life, where, for a few years he was the friend of the Man in the Iron Mask. #booksky #skystorians Did Fouquet take the famous prisoner's secrets to his grave?

is a small Canadian firm that hasn't been able to help me market the book. Any advice on what I should do to get word to scholars and French historians?

Drive over to Baden-Baden (about 20 min) and bring your bathing suit for the Caracalla Baths. Built over the baths of Caracalla...warm, moving, flushing water that will rest your soul. You will spend the rest of your life trying to get back there...over and over again.
