So we've put together steps + a script to follow if this happens!

***Important Notice*** If you are calling Visa, there have been increasing reports of harassment from Visa representatives, including calling people rapists If this happens to you, please take the following actions: 1) Stay calm! Do NOT engage in harassment back 2) Request to speak to a supervisor 3) If they refuse or hung up on you, call back and *immediately* escalate to a supervisor 4) Put in a complaint of the behavior (script below) 5) Afterwards *or* if they refuse to take your complaint, submit a BBB complaint (script below) Call Center Abuse Complaint: Hello, I'm calling to submit an official complaint about abuse I received from a call center representative today. I called at (time) and spoke with (name, if you know it). Their behavior was beyond inappropriate. The representative said (provide details). Once finished submitting that complaint, tell them you would still like to file the initial complaint you called about. BBB script: I'm filing a complaint in regards to their conduct when I called in to inquire about the situation between them and several gaming platforms. Upon mentioning the nature of my call the representative on the phone was exceptionally rude to me. They (insert details here). This sort of behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable. This should not be how they treat their customers. BBB script pt 2 (what you're looking for them to do in response): I would like a formal apology, my initial complaint to be processed, and the company to re-train their call center staff to prevent such occurrences in the future.

Message from a user called BBBen on discord: Collective Shout, who have been provoking this latest wave of trouble are registered as a charity in Australia, but their work seems to be purely as a political activist organisation generating moral panic. This is against the rules for registering as a charity. If any Australians (Aussies only, please! It's counter-productive for people from elsewhere to do this) want to register a concern about their wrongful listing as a charity, then you can do so on the Australian Charity and Non-Profit Commission website. Instead of starting with a complaint, I approached this as a Confused American Consumer who doesn't understand why they can't buy things off a website they use

The call center rep immediately asked if it was about Steam/itch

Collective Shout, the group that took credit for bullying Mastercard into recently censoring more platforms, stated that apparently it took them ~1000 phonecalls to convince them to give them what they wanted?

ok then. one angle of attack then needs to be actively bombarding Visa and Mastercard's phone numbers and emails.

are customer support phone numbers/emails the best avenue to start with or is there a better option?

Love when tech bros say A/ is not stealing or copying but the most original thing they can do is steal memes they did not make and copy the art style of a popular artist they disrespect. Nothing they make is original, they have not ever created anything of their own. May they rot.
