Within minutes, I realized the product placement was part of the joke. Listening to the commentary later - they had to pay all those companies for licensing. The music is brilliant and is so reflective of the story, it could be considered a musical. So, so funny and such great satire.

"Josie and the Pussycats" was widely misunderstood. The first time I saw it was on cable, it had started a few minutes before I turned it on, and I didn't even intend to watch it. The product placement (Krispy Kreme in the kitchen) caught my eye and was so blatant, I couldn't turn away, BUT...

I send emails like that sometimes to DNA matches who usually never respond or if they do reply, they'll give the name of one person, with no dates or other identifying details.
