Update: I had time to look through footage of the horse trampling incident. This guy was actively involved with dispersing the crowd. You can clearly see that he is with the Huntington Beach police department.

I don’t know why the Huntington Beach police department is denying they had officers at the protest. I spoke with one of them- who was in uniform and walking with the horse mounted police. They have gone from total denial to saying he was there as an observer . This seems dubious. Will look into.
