the US political system is already incredibly stupid and awful in its reality, you don't need to lie to make it seem worse

like yeah everything sucks rather unequivocally right now and it will continue to suck for a while, but that's not an excuse for journalists to obscure what is and isn't happening or what is and isn't being done. as far as i'm concerned it's all just profiting off of the emotions of politics
