Yes! This is something women actually want. Same with Girlguiding, the general idea is a good one but transphobia along with being overtly pro Christian and pro monarchy puts people off. We're crying out for inclusive, non judgemental community groups.

These institutions will die off, and hopefully in their place will emerge modern, progressive, and inclusive women's community groups that actually offer something women and girls want.

I think that's very likely. The majority of cis women find these transphobic policies abhorrent, I can't imagine it'll be long before a progressive, modern and inclusive women's org emerges to rival the WI. They've been struggling with membership for years and this is likely the nail in the coffin.

It's a shame they've not been able to move with the times, but women are passionate and resourceful so I'm hopeful that progressive, inclusive, and modern women & girls community groups will pop up in their place. The only losers here are the WI and Girlguiding, but they've made their bed.

The WI and Girlguiding have been struggling financially and dwindling memberships for years. These decisions will only further damage them and likely confine them as relics of the past.
