@profootballtalk.bsky.social perhaps a controversial NFL opinion, but I’m really sick and tired of all the injury stoppages. the game has like zero fluidity already, then you add all the injury timeouts and it’s practically unwatchable. NFL needs to reduce all the padding so players down hit so hard

@holypost.bsky.social enjoyed the discussion on foreign aid in today’s episode. Would be interesting to compare how much we spend in foreign aid in different countries vs. how often those countries vote with the U.S. or against the U.S. in the UN General Assembly.

Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce.

Bear with me for a second while I try to explain.

@minakimes.bsky.social I’m a Jets fan, and I found the Patriots more likable during their stretch(es) of dominance than this Chiefs team.

2/ The idea that there are "left" or "right" Christians is fallacy. There are none. That is a false lens used by people to demonize their opponents whilst attempting to falsely sacralize their own policy lusts.

What there are is one of these two options:

3/ Christians who live as Christ did, sacrificially, rejecting Caesar's throne, and loving those whom God loves in the same way Jesus did ... or those who sit on Caesar's lap, and seek self-benefit, and nail their policy lusts to the Cross to try to make them holy.

Is it just me, or does the field at Orchard Park look like it’s half the width of a normal NFL field? It looks so narrow!

Maybe college football went from 4 to 12 a little too quickly - judging by the quality of many of these games, at least. Makes me wonder if it wasn’t all driven by money instead of quality of play. 😜😂

MAGA evangelicals believe that Christianity requires that they use the mechanisms of government to legally impose on society their doctrinal commitments. This is both theologically indefensible and spiritually ruinous.
