I would be happy for the US government to impose an air travel dress code on me as long they require airlines to continue to pay me back when they cancel or change my flights

Decided to spend my mid morning writing up a @letterboxd.social review on my 10 Things I Hate About You rewatch last night instead of getting ready to go see Arabella at The Met in a couple hours

A vivid memory from 2nd grade was writing instructions on how to make a peanut butter sandwich for an alien. You had to be sure to include the most basic steps, where to find a knife & the peanut butter etc. Preparing us for a world embracing AI

I turned on Magnificent Obsession and my husband walked in the room and said “You’re not allowed to watch Imitation of Life!!” For a horror fan he sure is incredible at Sirk spotting

We are all fine forgetting 2009-2019 New York
personally when i think of “lost new york” it’s like, cheap artist lofts that incubated a ton of incredible art and music, but you do you i suppose, new york times

"Dasha got dropped by Gersh," I say to the elerly woman sitting next to me on the bus. "Can you believe that?" She empties an entire can of mace directly into my face instantly.

Lee Pace is usually the best part of any film he’s in. Which is the case for The Running Man

Just saw the trailer for Wuthering Heights and while I do not care about the Brontes I must say you cannot make a miserable book about the moors and turn it into eye candy smut lite without severe repercussions

Die My Love is the best movie of the year. I said it. Lynne Ramsay, we missed you. About to start my second movie of the day, The Running Man, to ruin my high

Our bands on tour order about as many CDs to sell as they do LPs. They're especially popular for artist in-store signings. We're still not shipping out as many CDs as LPs to stores and customers but they are more popular now than they were when I started working here 10 years ago
Interesting convo with a friend who owns a hip NYC record shop about a sudden renewed interest in CDs, which were a negligible part of his business till recently.

I don't want to ever give up my 2003 car because i don't want a full blown computer in whatever comes next! Plus it has a CD player and a tape deck (no aux though). I will always avoid kitchen appliances with computers as well. We really don't need these kinds of computers in our lives

Oh no! My husband says I’m not allowed to watch this version more than once a year because of how much it destroys me and I’ve already watched it twice this year. How can I resist?

Relieved that the town I’m from, Woodland Park, CO, was able to vote in a new school board to replace the evil bible college stooges they had sitting in place for years last night. Take back the curriculum and the newest school building in the district that they gave to a charter school. Hallelujah
