They did - although I think they also took to breeding in the same way pen lids and wire coathangers do!

I know I had a fine collection of AOL discs at one point, but that was as close as I got to actually having an AOL email address. (I used them as bird scarers when we planted some fresh grass seed to fix the bald patch on the lawn!)
