Sadly, Interstate 10, Interstate 40 and Interstate 15 destroyed much of the thriving businesses which flourished when Route 66 was a main highway in California. It is often depressing seeing how much of San Bernardino County (such as Ludlow), which has never recovered.

Thank You for sharing. "Route 66" has been a passion of mine since the 1964 teLIEvision show. I have used old maps, and since 1982 I have taken thousands of photographs (Santa Monica-Needles). I have seen / experienced things which remind me, that but for the Grace-of-God, I would not be here.

Here is a pic of Citadel v. College of Charleston (C of C) when PC (RIP was on the basketball team. C of C still used a black spear-chucking Camerron as its mascot. Only after Blacks were finally allowed in C of C did the mascot change to "Cougars" as those first Blacks graduated in 1970.

Even though I have several close-relatives who graduated from The Citadel, I despise that school. Pat Conry (RIP), was one of the-few who I ever respected. I have all of his books and films based on his books. My USMC Brats accuse me of being as mean as "The Great Santini"....jajajajajajaja

I have been warning this dumbed-down-nation on-air and social media, that Atwood's book would come-to-fruition since Sarah Palin ran for US Vice-President in 2008. I am from Charleston, SC, and Palin was a member of Wasalia Baptist Church that has direct-ties to a church in Charleston.

I have mutual author friends with Atwood and she knows that I would never take any money because everything that I do, I do free-of-charge. Here is Atwood on a panel with one of my long time college friends who has written about me in some of his books. (Fortunately, he changed my name.)

Apparently, You missed the part where I specifically stated that I was responding to listeners' questions immediately after Herr Trump's victory in November 2016. That all-black radio audience was not likely to be familiar with Atwood, because many (if not most) only "buy-black".
