I hope every single Tufts parent out there calls the University and their reps about this.
Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.

They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

We're actively in the process to make this Observatory happen! The shed is on order, the telescope is being serviced, and the site is being prepped!

However, concrete is extremely expensive, so additional donations are VERY welcome so we can focus on making the scope automated for outreach! :D
On this #WVUDayofGiving, we look to support our WVU Preston County Observatory Project (2W1743). Managed by the WVU Planetarium, it will be used for research and K-12 outreach!

Support the WVU Preston County Observatory - 2W1743 this #WVUDayofGiving!

Feeling nostalgic about my Fly app (gruze.org/fly).

I was working with astronomer Richard Smart, who lead the team that created the Gaia Catalogue of Nearby Stars (out to 100 parsecs) and we kept coming up with more features to add.

In light of the recent memo circulated by the acting NASA Director, it's even more important for folks in our community to support efforts like this. ♦️

Julie Gray, wife of Holocaust survivor Gidon Lev, who joined Musk in his visit to Auschwitz speaks out. She says that Musk felt nothing during the tour & only "cared about how he looked."

She shared this with me privately shortly after the tour, and I'm grateful she made her thoughts public.

Important skill for physics students to learn 🎢
I feel that physicists and astronomers don’t openly talk about the importance of good writing in creating a successful arXiv paper, especially for theorists. Yes the science matters but you gotta get people to read your pet theory!

More generally cultivating writing skills helps a lot!

Hey #AstroSky, make sure you fill out this survey! Its extremely important to showcase the financial strains we face as early career scientists and our history with the fight for financially accessible higher education.
