Many are unaware of the long-term damage measles can cause to survivors. It's a serious oversight, and parents who neglect vaccination measures should face serious consequences.
In 2019, RFK Jr visited Samoa to spread anti-vax lies, spurring a measles outbreak that led to the deaths of 83 people - mostly children.

We can’t let that tragedy repeat in Texas. The MMR vaccine is 97% effective at preventing measles. Let’s stop the spread.

This weekend, I wrapped up a chat with a friend who thinks like me by saying, "Sorry if I sound crazy," because honestly, it all does seem a bit wild.
honestly think some of the hesitation here is that no one wants to sound like a crank. i was talking at an event last night and even i felt like a crank while i was speaking!
What if there were a coup, the US government fell to a drug-addled oligarch who seized control of our money, secrets, and levers of power, and Corporate media did not report on it?

It would be amusing if it weren't so perilous.

The fastest drum programming in a second.
They should have a Biggest Album Grammy for whoever put out the record with the largest diameter in the previous year

I had the same thought this morning during my commute.
you know what this wholesale destruction of the federal bureaucracy reminds me of? “Debaathification!” it reminds me of the immediate aftermath of the Iraq war or rather the beginning of the occupation.

Haha, precisely!
I love this time of year because people will post something super dramatic and vague like “Nooooooo” and I can’t tell if it’s about football or *gestures outside window* all of this.

I saw Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine perform their 2005 classic albums yesterday. Can't believe it's been 20 years since they came out. Metalcore is classic rock no isn't it 😭

Down with the patriarchy, Nazis, oligarchy, GOP, and the Trump crime family! I stand with all my brothers and sisters. This is why I call for change: systemic misogyny, racism, and classism must end. Let's dismantle these oppressive systems!

Speaking of healthcare. Let's make @bsky.app the platform that fights misinformation. Some great follows are @drsusanoliver.bsky.social @jsm2334.bsky.social @therealtruther.bsky.social

Let's get them more followers and engagement than other platforms and let health science accounts find a home

*Sharp gasp* Oooooo! I definitely need to reread them now! I mean, I LOVE Fight Club soooo much...
I’m not a very visual person, and neither are a lot of people. Also, I can actually think of several movies that are better than the books.

Fight Club and American Psycho, just for starters.
Books are ALWAYS better than the movies, especially fantasy movies. The visual always pales in comparison to my minds eye.
