Blah blah blah
The learned all of that about invading Haiti and learned nothing about Haitians. Can I just say as a Haitian that this reads as comedy. Have they ever heard of "koupé tèt boulé kay"???

I'm so excited to share that my novel, THESE HEATHENS, has been longlisted for the 2026 Aspen Words Literary Prize. This book is so close to my heart and I'm so very proud of it.

While I'm on my AI soapbox, let me add AI is not the beginning of the end. it’s the end made visible.
It’s the final stage of stolen archives, stolen/ erased languages, stolen art, stolen musical traditions, stolen land
stolen fucking futures.

AI is not the crisis. The crisis is the system that made AI inevitable.
People keep acting like AI arrived as some rogue meteor. But AI is the predictable endgame of: Colonial extraction, capitalist optimization, Anti-Blackness and racialized labor avoidance,
If you follow AI, you've heard a number of cognitive scientists weigh in with valuable insights and concerns. You may not have heard from one quite like Hagen Blix, however, who describes generative AI as "class warfare through enshittification."

My interview with @hagenblix.bsky.social:
"AI is an attack from above on wages": An interview with cognitive scientist Hagen Blix
The author of 'Why We Fear AI' on why he sees generative AI as "class warfare through enshittification."

🦆 Bernie today and tomorrow!!! Probably one of his biggest haters.
Bernie omits race/racism from his analysis—so he isn’t “nailing down trends factually.”

Economics isn’t “tied to” race. Racism informs and ultimately controls economics.

Sanders can’t possibly be ignorant of this. Yet, he avoids mention of race and racism, partly bc he’s very bad at discussing it.
When Bernie nails down trends factually, why should he back off? Yes, economics is tied to race. The table of competition has many levels of barriers against those with increasingly darker skin. Your "Snake in the grass" label might satisfy you emotionally, but facts and reality are more useful.

The greatest literary tool known to man. I used before AI and I will use them after.
Do not let them take em dashes away from you, yall. Do not.

“AI wrote it cus, see, it has em dashes in it” is LAZY thinking. Shame that laziness. Shame them. Fuck people being that fucking lazy!!
I’ve been using em dashes since high school. I refuse to stop.

Kinda ironic that the people accusing other people of not actually writing something are scanning for the usage of a character instead of…actually reading the something and assessing from there whether it seems artificial or weird.

Been trying to intentionally build community since 2015, and I can say now with a kind of exhausted honesty that I’ve failed. Not for lack of effort, but because nothing can take root in soil this corrosive. feels like trying to plant something on a No Man’s Sky–irradiated planet without protection.

Over five million + Congolese died so smartphones could exist. Still, we line up for upgrades, scroll without pause. Was their annihilation not enough to elicit shame from users? Or is technology only a threat when it endangers American lives? Don't answer, answer your phone.
