If our tv news and major newspapers were functioning at all this story alone would sink support for the deportations. There are millions of right wingers that don’t give two shits about violence against brown people but find abandoning dogs absolutely unacceptable.

It really is incredible how despite a half-century of expanding executive power, ballooning the debt, bloating the government, and policing private behavior, the GOP is still discussed as the party of small government libertarianism and fiscal responsibility. Just no relation to reality at all.
