The Minecraft movie should be an ode to nostalgia. It should be the things everyone went through- punching a tree, building a dirt hut, the first night, the first time you get a diamond, dying and losing everything just to keep going. Steve doesn't need to be someone, because everyone is Steve.

I hate the Minecraft movie, I hate it.
But not for why you think . Sure, the lava chicken machine wouldn't have worked because of the trapdoors, yeah, the CGI is overused, and the plot sucks, but none of that matters because that isn't Minecraft.
