The Minecraft movie should be an ode to nostalgia. It should be the things everyone went through- punching a tree, building a dirt hut, the first night, the first time you get a diamond, dying and losing everything just to keep going. Steve doesn't need to be someone, because everyone is Steve.

Just be Steve. Because he's not a character, he has no backstory or motives or goals; he's a placeholder for you. He's a placeholder for you, the player. You are Steve. Everyone is Steve. And that's what's special about Minecraft, that's what WA failed to understand. That's the problem.

Minecraft, at heart, is a sandbox game. Sure, there are bosses, but you don't HAVE to fight them. There's temples and ruins but you don't have to explore. There's blocks, but you don't need to build. The only two things every player has to do, no matter what they want to do, is mine, and craft.

The reason for chess boxing: It'd be kind of hard to argue about someone's health and all if some 80-year-old just suplexed some guy and beat him in chess. The whole process would take from a week to a month, and the terms last two years. Any questions?
