Call yours reps. Or they will think you are a ok with this malarky
I have not been on here forever. I can barely keep up with all of the bad news. Some days I have to not read. I am tired. Anyone else exhausted from all the sadness and destruction?

They used to make Huffy bikes in Celina, Ohio. Hundreds of workers, 2 million bikes a year.

Now a Walmart sits next to the old factory. And that was a bad trade, especially for Celina.

But the tariffs aren't going to bring back the jobs. Celina is just going to lose the cheap stuff, too.
“It’s difficult to overstate how existential the tariffs are for the bicycle industry. Imports account for 97% of the bikes purchased in the United States, of which 87% come from China, making it ‘one of the most import-dependent industries in the U.S.’” heatmap.news/economy/trum...
Trump’s Tariffs Will Flatten the U.S. Bicycle Industry
Businesses were already bracing for a crash. Then came another 50% tariff on Chinese goods.

In three months, we went from global economic powerhouse to pariah.

Our tragedy is made entirely in the USA.

By one man. Donald Trump.

This is what happens when too many people would rather hurt others than help themselves. Literally nobody in America is benefitting from this.

Best comment I have seen today. What an absolute disservice to the American people.
What kind of demented asshole tariffs the entire world and then takes it back at the last minute for those who were willing to get punished without retaliation?

Trump pauses reciprocal tariffs, but hikes duties on China to 125%
The duties faced by China will now rise to 125% effective immediately.

C: Including Medicaid?

M: If there is waste, fraud, & abuse in any program, we have to find it

As promised, here are the slides I shared with students to convince them to NOT use chatGPT and other artificial stupidity.

TL;DR? AI is evil, unsustainable and stupid, and I'd much rather they use their own brains, make their own mistakes, and actually learn something. 🪄

In recognition of us doing fuck all to reduce emissions, let me remind y'all that carbon dioxide removal (CDR) is useless unless we decarbonize drastically.

Carbon dioxide removal is not a current climate solution — we need to change the narrative
Drastically reduce emissions first, or carbon dioxide removal will be next to useless.
