Some great anti-consumerism ways to celebrate, AND to resist! In portland, we have thrift stores, but we also put used things in front of our house for others to take for free. Great way to get used toys, clothes, baby things, furniture, books, pet supplies, etc.. "new to you" essentially. 🙂
I’m not buying a single thing this Xmas. The family has all agreed we’ll give to our Food Banks, Toys for Tots or Salvation Army Christmas for children. If I buy anything it’ll be like you laid out, local, or Etsy. We may do a Dirty Santa but that’s it.
