There is no maximum cap on what an older person has to pay for services under Australia’s new Support at Home program. I argued at the Senate Inquiry that fees should be capped at 10% of fortnightly income. The government was not interested. Do we really want old people living in poverty?

Anyone can become disabled.

Anyone can become chronically ill.

It’s not a choice. It’s not a moral failing. It’s not something you can “try harder” your way out of.

You can be the healthiest person in the world & completely disabled in an instant.

It’s a minority group you can join anytime.

To the brave man who wrestled a high powered rifle from a terrorist and risked his own life you are a true hero!
I am horrified, appalled and so sad that innocent people have lost their lives just because they were celebrating Hannukah and they have been targeted because of their faith!

Australian COVID-19 weekly stats update:

The risk estimate was flat at 0.1% “Currently Infectious”, or 1-in-1,011.

That implies a 3% chance that someone is infectious in a group of 30.

Globally from October, BA.3.2.* "Cicada" showed a strong growth advantage of 5.5% per day (39% per week) over XFG.* "Stratus". A crossover looks likely during January at that pace.
