She/her Writer, maker, crafter, and gamer. Too old to drink coffee before bed, but still young enough to be mad about it.
Wow. Just passed a FedEx Truck on the highway fully engulfed in flames on the way to dinner.

So this year at #DragonCon we started a new tradition and watched the parade live while vending in the AA. Turns out DragonCon TV access is really affordable and we’re totally getting it every year now.

Is @monkeyminion.com prepping for #DragonCon by making even more Borbs for his Summer of the Borbs? Yes. Is the lack of sleep showing? Also yes.

I actually talked to a real person in my Rep’s office! I was so shocked, I almost hung up. 😂

(Call your congress people.)

Serious question. Kristi Noem was pictured with a Rolex in El Salvador, and got 3k in cash stolen.

She has been on a govt salary for years.

Today’s post cards to my Congress people are a reminder that the Constitution requires due process for everyone and respecting that protects everyone - including citizens.

I used to purposefully make calls to my Congress people after office hours because I hate talking to people on the phone. Lately I’ve been trying to actually speak to someone during the day and they aren’t answering the phone.

#NEW: The House has also voted to overturn the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's rule limiting overdraft fees to $5.

217-211. All yay votes were GOP, 1 GOP plus all voting Dems were nay.

The big banks won. Regular people lost.
ICYMI: The Senate today voted 52-48 to overturn the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's rule limiting overdraft fees to $5. Score one for those plucky big banks and predatory fees!

All Democrats and Josh Hawley voted no.

Bill headed to the House. @5calls.org script @ 5calls.org/issue/overdr...
Senate votes to overturn CFPB overdraft rule, in new blow for agency
The vote comes as the consumer bureau, long a target of Republicans’ ire, is facing dramatic cuts by the Trump administration.

Tonight’s post cards to my Congress people are about social security offices and a reminder that my fellow Kansans in rural areas must have access to them.

(The calls were about tariffs. Because I’m not going to stop calling until they do their jobs.)
April 9, 2025 at 2:42 AM
Tonight’s phone calls were about tariffs, but this time I was able to thank Sen. Moran for joining Sen Grassley and ask my other Sen and Rep to show similar leadership and concern for Kansans.

Guess who just found a roll of 100 post card stamps in the back of a drawer? My Congress people best get used to hearing from me.

Being a night owl means that before I go to bed I can leave a politely angry message about tariffs for each of my Congress people at their DC office. Happy Monday.
