due to rising costs, it is not affordable to own the libs anymore so people have to resort to renting the libs instead

I tend to shy away from JRPGs sometimes because you get attached to characters only for them to die in the plot. It's hard when you form connections with them and learn about their past, only to see their life ripped away.
