As to whether he is African American—maybe an edge case. It’s interesting. He is South Asian, technically, but he was born and raised in Uganda. Just like Elon Musk is white, technically, but was born and raised in Africa. Can Elon claim to be black for the purposes of affirmative action on a college application? The answer now is YES. Rachel Dolezal was just ahead of her time. Zohran Mamdani is the perfect millennial, because our people know that you can’t get into college identifying as white.
