Even if Germany is paralysed by coalition-building, France, UK, Poland etc should be acting on this prescription as soon as possible. As @samagreene.bsky.social says, "The decisions made will shape the lives of generations of European citizens". Do nothing, & Trump & Putin will shape them instead.

Europe must not be paralyzed by the pace and discomfort of events. It can get a good outcome in Ukraine if it moves together swiftly.

Europe is the most important support zone for the American military after the continental US itself: Military bases, airfields, material depots, hospitals, and harbors. The American global power is crippled if these are denied.
