I’m already pretty frugal and have cut back even more since January, but I like the idea of a holiday economic blackout. It would be a great way to continue the momentum from this weekend. Give baked goods, handmade, repurposed or used… I think we can do this and still make Christmas special!
70% of GDP is consumer spending. 40% of that happens between 11/15 and 1/15. Buy nothing except food. Money is the ONLY thing the 1% care about. Make them hurt. No more spending.

This holiday season, let’s remind corporate America: our silence isn’t for sale, and our values aren’t up for purchase.

👏🏻👏🏻 I hope We Ain't Buying It sends shock waves through the money-grubbing billionaire class. It's not just Kindles and wrench sets we're not buying.

We're not buying the continual degradation of American lives to feed the rapacious greed of 1-2% of people who make 💰so fast they can never spend it.

Trump is chatting with Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Washington Post correspondent Jamal Khashoggi's murderer, surrounded by his garish gold decor, berating a reporter's attitude for asking a simple question that Trump clearly couldn't answer.

He got mad. I laughed.
