@britishnatureguide.bsky.social last section of hedge laying for nature, solo trees left for perches 🐦 @rspb.bsky.social and habitat diversity @rewildingbritain.org.uk you can just see an elderberry it’s not suitable to lay so it remains. Offcuts are left intertwined intentionally and logs piled 🍄

@barnowlcentre.bsky.social we thought that we had a very early resident 🦉 👉👁️.

Farage attending the launch of a new staunch climate denial group in the UK that has taken funds from oil giant ExxonMobil ? Not particularly out of character , since Dec 2019 92% of donations to Reform UK were from fossil fuel interest groups or climate deniers , per @desmog.bsky.social .

Word of the Day is ‘uhtcearu’ [ucht-kay-aru, with the 'ch' as in the Scottish ‘loch']:

Old English for ‘the sorrow before dawn', when you lie awake in the darkness and worries crowd your mind.

Frozen mud for that ankle breaking risk and refrozen snow for that extra slip. Run needed for headspace, hedge laying delayed until Tuesday so free to connect with nature another way.

More rough hedge laying due on Friday for bird and insect habitat diversity. The temps are looking grim so we’ll need coffee + stat.
