Definitely we have done both, with some agreed ‘virgin’ ponds left to just fill with rainwater and field runoff as control for the restoration and the ‘seeded’ ponds

I have new respect for crows since I learned that they can not only keep a grudge but pass that grudge onto other crows, I’d leave it.
