Co-creating the conditions for culture change through deep deschooling & decolonising; transformational governance, self-directed education, commoning, generative approaches to conflict. Also sometimes very silly on stage. Bristol, UK.
I don’t agree because not all societies through history have been as hierarchical and competitive as ours. In fact most have not. Schooling - not to be conflated with education - is a relatively new and I suspect short-lived failed experiment. Children can and usually do learn as part of society.

I understand your reluctance and don’t use the term lightly. I think you’re in a country that looks after its vulnerable better than here in the UK, where life expectancy and socioeconomic factors are linked to the point where I don’t think it’s exaggeration.

Schooling is hidden eugenics, plain and simple, especially when combined with the removal of social safety nets. I say this as a teacher and education expert. If we want a freer and fairer world with a habitable climate we must abolish it.

That’s what I was thinking. Telling everyone to vote Labour instead of Green and now sticking your nose into the business of Greens like you weren’t detracting from the real left at the election, and like the Overton window doesn’t exist. Stings a bit tbh.

I don’t know how this man can sleep at night. He has blood on his hands. What a nasty piece of work.

Ha! If you want to know why the courts aren’t delivering justice in any meaningful way, you have to look at judges. The courts are cesspits of unexamined privilege.

Also though, @carladenyer.bsky.social is a really, genuinely good egg and if anyone can have a positive impact on this utterly broken system it’s her.
