The Safeway near us just put a 24-pack of Coke "on sale" for $14.99, which was its previous regular price. That's been pretty much their MO for raising prices on everything since even before the pandemic. Put it "on sale" for $2 off, then raise the price $2 when the sale ends.

This is the weirdest market segmentation strategy. Dividing between people paying attention and those not.

They won't even get to the bar. They'll faceplant on the run up, explode, burst into flames, then fly off the track into the crowd and kill dozens of people.
