I have to watch TAS to put this to the test but yeah I agree. Hell, I even think that dumb TNG episode where Beverly has a sex candle ghost is real Trek and it’s legitimately one of the most jarring narrative choices I can think of.

Is Discovery too off the rails for you? Maybe you forgot that Voyager has like 8 distinct continuities and invented at least two additional kinds of warp drive. Neither of which worked as well as the spore drive.

Most medical professionals I talk to get really butthurt when I do research before visiting them. It’s unsettling to hear how that trend might take this specific turn.

Don’t get me wrong. I love all of the overgrown empty lots developers decided aren’t worth the cost of building houses on. But maybe turning one of them into a Walgreens would make this place feel less like divine punishment.
