I brought Pinky home yesterday.
After I settled him in the bedroom I went to the porch and his butterfly was back.
I had been checking every day, but this was the first time I saw him again.
I sat with him a bit and then left him in a safe spot to rest.

Google suggests lymph nodes.
Dr Boshoven said he isn't over concerned but, better safe than sorry.
They aspirated and sent it out. Hopefully we'll get results mid-week.
Fingers crossed it's just a normal immune response to some inflammation

Instead of wasting my time watching the inauguration of the orange fascist I will be taking one of the rescue dogs in boarding on a field trip with my co-volunteers. Then spending time honoring Dr. King by giving back to my community and those in need.

Trying out new recipes is one of my favorite things. We fell into a bit of a rut recently and did more eating out. Closest thing I have to a NY resolution is getting back to cooking more.

It's breezy and chilly this morning. These doofy birbs are all puffed up, sitting spaced apart on the fence where maximum breeze is happening instead of huddled together, or at least where there's more shelter.

The only present I really wanted this year was for Pinky to be healthy and happy.
At his 2 week post-op check for his pacemaker Dr. Miller said it looks and works great! He still has to take it slowish for a bit but he is cleared for walks and jumping onto the regular bed again
Best Christmas gift!

I wish I could say I have at least a Love/Hate relationship with IPA's, but I don't.
It's more of a toxic relationship where I keep going back, hoping it will be different this time only to be massively disappointed.
