Nancy says, “I’m lost, Aunt Fritzi.” Her aunt says, “Where are you?” Nancy says, “I’m in a store.” Her aunt says, “What’s the name of the place?” Nancy says, “Etar Tuc Erots Gurd.” The last panel is an image of Nancy standing in the store looking at the large glass window on the front of the store, which says “Cut Rate Drug Store,” though it’s backwards from her perspective.

When your dog is well trained in one area but not in another.

The man notices it’s starting to rain. He tries to get the umbrella back from the dog, but the dog won’t give it back. It starts to rain harder. The dog continues to hold on tightly to the umbrella and the man is unable to pry it away from him. In the final panel, the man has successfully gotten the umbrella away from the dog, but it’s completely in tatters and the man is soaking wet.

A small man in a kingly outfit sits on a throne. A man in a striped shirt and blue jacket says to him, "Your majesty, today you are scheduled to plant the first tree in the new park." The king plants the tree and begins to give a speech. A man in a blue uniform says to a man with a mustache and tophat next to him, "His Majesty's speeches are very boring." The two men see an angry bull running towards them and run away. The king doesn't notice and continues to give his speech. The angry bull arrives and it appears he will run directly into the king, but is instead put to sleep by the king who is still giving his speech.

A man drives in a car past a sign with an arrow pointing to the left and which says "Echo Canyon." The man stands next to the edge of a cliff and yells "HELLO" down into it. The word "HELLO" is repeated back to him several times from below. He does this again with the same result. Later, the man walks out of his cabin with a bucket full of dirty water and throws it into the canyon where had been yelling earlier. The water splashes back up at him from below.

When babies conspire against you.

A child at the beach yells “STOP!” and runs to stop a baby from crawling into the ocean. The child says “Can’t yer ever sit still!! That’s the fourth time I had to carry you back!!!” The baby tries to go in the ocean again and the child runs and carries him back. The child says, “Carry, carry, that’s all I’ve been doing all day long!! I’m all in… oof!! Be a good fella for once, and stay here.” The baby sees another baby and they both say “Goo” to each other. The child says “Ah! Now he’s got thumbody to play with… that’ll take his mind off running away. This is more like it. My troubles are over.” The babies say “Goo?” and “Goo goo” to each other. The child turns around in shock, and then has to carry both of the babies back from the ocean.

Did you know paleontologists refer to the tail spikes on a stegosaurus as a “thagomizer” because of a Gary Larson cartoon?

Yeah, you probably did. But did you know that there are some who don't like it and wish it would go away? I wrote about it on my blog:
