I personally am not a fan of mushrooms, but I wish I was because of how nutrient dense they are! I am probably going to look into some ways to "hide" them in my food. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

The fad diet I looked into was intermittent fasting. I always hear about it on the internet and was curious and wanted to dive deeper. The diet consists of eating in an allotted time frame in order to use the bodies fat storage instead of calories consumed. Pretty cool! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

It is so cool to see that something as simple as adding fruit to your dessert, or basing your dessert around fruits makes it much more healthy for you! I love fruit so these look amazing. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Something I eat in the morning sometimes when I feel like having breakfast is some yogurt. I can make this more nutrient dense by switching to greek yogurt more regularly and adding fruit and granola to it. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I liked this post a lot because I am guilty of skipping breakfast and only having a coffee until around lunch time. I will be trying this! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I tracked what I ate yesterday since it was the most fresh in my mind, and I realized I only ate fast food due to the convenience of having to work. Tracking what I ate wasn't too hard but it definitely is something new. I think my list was pretty accurate though. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I really agree with this. The food itself is not inherently bad, but the amount of food I get at a restaurant sometimes is so large it is enough for me twice. Portion control is a huge step to proper nutrition. @beh353.bsky.social #BEH353
We really need to focus on portions and not single foods or ingredients.
Portions - in restaurants, bakeries, grocers - are too large.
We will eat the plate.
Yet can be satisfied with less is less becomes the normalized option.
I found this interesting because instead of being wary of certain ingredients, it's crucial to focus on broad diet habits. The key factors are caution, range, & rational choices. I like that healthy eating, portion control, and whole foods are prioritized over publicity. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Fiber feeds the good bacteria in our body. Fiber is critical for people in their diets especially for a balanced microbiome. On social media I see a lot of people talking about protein intake and not fiber. Colon cancer is on the rise and fiber is helpful in avoiding that.@beh353.bsky.social #BEH353

I love this! I feel like people, myself included get disheartened when results aren't instant, but like most things in life, consistency is key!
Wellness is built on consistency, all or nothing. Eating balanced meals, moving regularly, resting, and managing stress go further than the latest trend. Focus on the daily habits that support long-term health. #RealWorldNutrition #Wellness

One thing that stood out to me is all of the posts claiming that they are backed by studies on how to lose weight the "right way" or "this one food is life changing". Many of these studies are incomplete or one out of a thousand and are totally skewed. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I'm a molecular bio major class of '26. I am taking the course to fulfill a bio elective requirement. I'm most curious on how preservatives work and how they effect us as humans. One word I associate with healthy eating is balance. My favorite food is chicken wings! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
