As a god associated with knowledge, it’s very easy to do devotion to Hermes. Just devote some study time to him, keep him in mind in your motivations. Whether it’s math, science, art, language, or magic, Hermes is a patron!

one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

Transition team but for trans people. Like when you come out you get a team to help you through the next few years.

All I know about Star Wars is that after being on the internet and hearing people talk about it I have lost all interest or nostalgia I had in it. The fandom ruined it for me, I just feel vaguely nauseated when I see it discussed anymore.

Every year, as turkey feast day approaches, I am reminded of someone I heard about who wanted to throw a frozen turkey out of a moving car window at a random intersection, rather than offering a rooster at a crossroads as per the lwas' demand.

We’re currently watching DS5, that sci fi show about a space station. It has a dignified yet irascible commander with a second in command with series lesbian vibes and a tough, no-nonsense security officer. There’s space gods and government intrigue and a big war and even a lounge singer.

Because it apparently bears repetition:

You do not make fun of people for things like their weight, height, voice, baldness, ancestry, etc.

Even if they are horrible people. That is not a get out of jail free card.

Pick something else. Preferably in the actions or thoughts zone.

This Leonard Cohen quote hit me hard:

“There comes a point, I think, as you get a little older, you feel that nothing represents you. You can see the value of many positions, even positions that are in savage conflict with one another.”

Really wish there was a good time for a Mars in Capricorn talisman but the Sun is making it a crispy critter almost the entire time it’s there.

May the Trans Dead find peace and healing and justice, tonight and always ⚧️🏳️‍⚧️👑🌟🕯️

Trans folks: you are whole and holy and wholesome and worthy and valid and valuable, as much as any other human being, and more magical than most. Your job tonight is to take care of yourselves and each other and find reasons and ways to keep on living.

On this Trans Day of Remembrance, we honour the trans and gender-diverse people who have lost their lives to violence, hatred, and neglect. Let's keep working toward a world where remembrance is no longer needed.

On the one hand, Buddhism and metta practice

On the other hand, there are some people I can’t help feel would improve the world by leaving it and getting on with their cycle of incarnation

So sad about Rebecca Heineman today. I used to call her Trans Gamer Auntie. I saw some interviews with her that were incredibly relatable. As a fan of the old Bard’s Tale games I’ve enjoyed her work. RIP ❤️

Well call me Dejah Thoris because I am the Princess of Mars
On this day of Mars, have a bit of my musing about this malefic and why I think Mars is as beautiful and necessary as anything and everything else among the planets, and why we shouldn't fear working with or including Mars in our lives, come what may.

Thoughts on Mars
So, as many astrologers, occultists, and others (like me) who are groupies of astro-Twitter are aware, Mars is about to enter in Aries again, where it’ll be for about the next six months or s…

I was in a cult run by and for anarchists who used theory to control, manipulate, and harm people. While I still cleave closest to anarchism politically I do not consider calling yourself an anarchist to mean that you’re a good or trustworthy person or that you give a shit about other people.

I’m still trying to find my voice as an astrologer and figure out what and how I want to write about wrt it. I know things being functional is important to me (hey Virgo) so I am inclined to write more about what people can do with the astrology rather than how it will affect people.

This New Moon has rough astrology, but there is one stand-out: a big old trine happening between multiple parts of the sky. The vibes are great for coordinating and supporting others who are likewise oppressed, perfect timing for Trans Day of Remembrance.

They will absolutely swoop in and groom casual left audiences who don't understand the difference between antisemitism and anti-Zionism.

They understand that the casually disaffected-- the folks half-listening and not organized-- are easy targets with no firm loyalties.

Acquaint yourself with the major antisemitic conspiracy theories.

Don't automatically discount it when left Jews tell you that you've done a dogwhistle, even if you didn't intend it.

These are trencherous waters.

Oppose genocide, *and.*

Do not do the Nazis' work for them.
