Surgery was last month. I'm 4 weeks post op, and I'm feeling so much better than I was before the surgery. I still have a lot of healing to do, but I'm relieved the pain from before is finally gone. Mostly exhaustion from the blood thinners happening right now plus POTS acting up from the weather

The best thing you can do for an author is to request their book from your library. The library will usually get it for you! The author will get an immediate sale, and libraries will know there is a demand for their future books! Just google your library name plus "book request" or walk in and ask
Library purchases are purchases. They pay the press. The press counts them towards advances and royalties. And (gasp) the book is in a library!! It’s wonderful and no one should ever feel bad about getting a book through a library instead of buying it.
I got it from my local library system, which has 28 physical copies (more than half are checked out) and 4 audiobooks. The branch library is two blocks from my house so I get most of my books from there. Hope this helps because I loved the book - I'm not a historian and knew nothing of that period.

I feel like whenever we do get shojo manga adaptations these days that 80% of the time they're like this, they don't look terrible but don't look nearly as nice as their manga counterparts and just, don't have the same care & craft in the adaptational script that I see in other shows.
[Review] This is fine, but it could have been so much better, as the source material demonstrates.

I feel like whenever we do get shojo manga adaptations these days that 80% of the time they're like this, they don't look terrible but don't look nearly as nice as their manga counterparts and just, don't have the same care & craft in the adaptational script that I see in other shows.
Been fighting an endo flare for the past week, and I'm just glad I have the new Nikki game to help me focus on something. Games where you can just wander around and collect stuff, but still have a story to do when I'm able to focus on dialogue have saved me in the past.

Manga haul from a sale last week got here today!
Caught up with Sign of Affection, got as many volumes of Moon on a Rainy Night as I could (I'm a fan of another one the author's other works so I knew I had to grab them after reading what I could), and starting Honey Lemon Soda for the first time!
