Cops call them "less-lethals" to make it seem that somehow these rounds are "safe" to fire at their targets. But "less-lethal" is like "less pregnant" or "less infected"--at a certain point it's the adjective, not the modifier, that matters most.

I know Ohio enough to know that holding out hope for DeWine to veto this shit is likely wasted energy. I am mid-semester into teaching a diversity class right now, and I imagine it's probably the last time they'll allow that to happen.
