Variably doing something. Writing, gaming doing things I remember to do, trying to remember things I need to do. Thinking about growing a maple tree for that sweet sweet sap.

Horses was the subject of multiple headlines ahead of its release as Steam - one of if not the biggest digital PC storefronts - refused to distribute the game. Then, just before its release, it was also banned from the Epic storefront. https://bit.ly/4j4o161

Here's the thing, if I thought the current concept of AI was actually sentient and sapient I'd be well up for discussion on humanity and robot rights. But that's not what is happening. People who think it is are delusional and I wish them well on their journey to recovery.

Honestly, I wasn't planning to get this anyway. At least now I can claim moral superiority.
A new report from @chrisbratt.bsky.social suggests the firing of over 30 workers from Rockstar Games was related to UK statutory recognition laws.

Almost 10% of Rockstar’s UK workforce was close to being recruited to a new union, which is one of the thresholds for enforced employer recognition.
Rockstar Games Accused of Firing Union Employees to Avoid Statutory Recognition
Former Rockstar employees told People Make Games the union was “very close” to statutory recognition, which would have forced recognition.

Square Enix would solve all their woes if they released 1000 Words as a single. 52 week number 1 hit, global. I'd make sure of that!

My favourite thing about modern Gaga is that she's so horror vibes. Disease is very horror, very Silent Hill coded in parts. Abracadabra is a song about death and the video is nightmarish. Now this shuddering puppet in a foggy bog of cursed dolls situation in The Dead Dance.

I've been listening to a lot of metal recently and with the Poppy release last night, for the first time in over a decade, metal feels vibrant again. It feels like I returning home.

When you check your bank and there is money in it.

That's suspicious.

When you check your transactions and it all seems fine and actually you've just been good with your money for once.

Something is wrong... is this... could this be... adulting?

Why did I come onto Bsky today? Now I'm just depressed. Logging off.

FFX-2's 1000 Words is one of my all time favourite songs, because I am exactly that kinda gay boy. But also, I did scream "you're gonna fall of the airship, you dumb bitch," whilst crying my eyes out when I first saw the FFX ending. There are 2 wolves inside me, the soppy bitch, and the sassy one.

Slowly, I'm crawling my way back into gothic rock/metal, because I'm in my mid-30s and, as we all do, am reverting to my natural state. I forgot how ICONIC Lacuna Coil are.

I've listened to Even in Arcadia and Take Me Back to Eden. Am I allowed to say I don't like Sleep Token yet? They have a few very good songs. The rest are entirely meh.

I support eugenics.*

*In a world in which eugenic's ultimate goal is to breed a new species of humans that looks like Michael B. Jordan.**

**Homo B. Sapiens, they would be called.

The far right has found their hook in this recent UK supreme court decision. The terfs will now try to hammer trans women out of existence, court case by court case. I fear how successful they will be. But the hook is in. Next, trans men, then lesbians. Sickening comfort that I'll be targeted last.

The first arc of Andor season 2 taught me something incredibly important --and dare I say, transformative. It's now clear to me that Mon Mothma would be a Kate Bush stan, and probably goes to see Florence & the Machine at least once every time they tour.

I'm too damn young to start calling James Jim, but I just did, and it didn't cause blisters on my tongue. I don't like this. I'm not ready.

My favourite thing about Dark Souls 2 is how I can't seem to skip the credits, even on 2nd playthrough. That's right, I completed DS2... twice... for some reason. #SoulsBorne
