Co-signed. Look, there's plenty of art I think is squicky but I will defend to my death the right of such art and the artists who create it to exist -- because to do otherwise would be an abandonment of freedom of expression as a core value.
Let's make this clear: if you claim to be leftist, pro-LGBT, pro other minorities etc, then you MUST stand up for freedom of artistic expression, which means defending the right for legal but icky art to exist. Not doing so directly empowers the worst kind of actors wishing to eradicate minorities 🧵

Think it shocks westerners to learn that tofu isn't meant for or atleast the places it came from as a meat alternative.
It exists next to the meat in its own glory.
Tofu has its own wonderful great things it is used that meat eaters should learn about and adopt imo.
