I see, TY. I imagine the DDT could be forced to cache in L2ARC if too big for RAM — is there good reason not to do that? (Other than "not worth dev effort.") Gen4 NVMes are way cheaper than RAM, and the special vdev has the downside of being a permanent change to your pool and requiring redundancy.

Interesting — do you feel this way about all games? I can relate for some games but not others. Most recently, what made Silksong a GOAT game for me was precisely the characterization and environmental storytelling. And I still feel that way about 90’s Metroid even though this aspect is toned down.
