Just a quick comment on the Macquarie Marshes. Changing the name of the extraction from "Irrigation" to "Consumptive use" doesn't improve the health of the internationally recognized, RAMSAR listed, marshes. It's a vain attempt to divert attention away from the real problem, irrigation extraction.

Can anyone join me in stopping people leaving their cars with the engines running while the are stopped. I know they want to leave the air-conditioning on for the kids, but don't they realise that if they go away from the car it might be stolen and those nice cool kids kidnapped. Oh, and emissions

Clearly you are in the minority in the knucklehead-filled New England electorate, as is the case in many other country electorates. Is it something in the (lack of) water?

When politicians say they’re against net zero, they’re willing to let their constituents suffer record-breaking floods, droughts and heat.

The EPBC Act changes are nowhere near perfect, but there have been some important improvements to the pretty shite original bill.

Good on the govt for negotiating with the Greens to deliver something not completely shit.

Maybe think on doing a bit more of that?

The best way for Barnaby Joyce to contribute to rural Australia would be to resign his seat immediately and let us vote a representative.
