currently in the single most could've-been-an-email meeting i've ever seen, heard of, or participated in. this is thousands of dollars of employee time for two questions that someone is writing down and emailing other teams anyway.

i ended up trying to cancel the order, hearing nothing, and filing a chargeback with my bank. very cool.
now i need to find a new electrical engineer.

man, i ordered a custom radio module for my fw16 in february, and the vendor has gone dark for months and months.
they're still selling other stuff elsewhere for the fw on the forums, which is apparently okay.
i knew i shouldn't have engaged third-party vendors.

got most of the setup working but i had to fight tooth and nail to do so, all because i want to actually use the device for more than home assistant. lord forbid a device have multiple uses.
gonna need to write this up for my own reference at least.
