Ok! I’m finally ready to add another celebrity to my list of nepo-babies I’d save in the “eat the rich” revolution!

Sean Astin. He just comes across as so wholesome and as far as I know, I haven’t heard any problematic stories about him as a celebrity.
Samwise Gamgee gets to live!

… but then I go to open the door and it’s still locked. So now this little song and dance has become a habit where I, daily, try to open a locked door.

Am I alone in this? Is this an Aracelli Original?

…and let him run in while still wearing his boots. I always struggle to get his boots off because he’s a stubborn old man, and then can’t remember if I unlocked the door. Without fail, I trick myself into thinking I did unlock it bc I remember thinking of doing it …

And next I guess you’ll be telling me to “look at the big picture” when you know I’m not wearing my glasses!

“I think I hate her because she reminds me of me!”

😐

Unfortunately, that’s as deep as the conversation in front of me, but for 5 seconds, I STG the heavens opened and I was so ready to celebrate that epiphany! 🥲

are in various stages of their therapy eras. And I remember tiny wins.

For instance, after watching Encanto for the umpteenth time, I had a discussion with my mom where she confessed that she didn’t like the movie because she HATED Abuela.
And then she said 🧵

And in a fun turn of irony, this particular teacher’s older daughter had a reputation in high school that would make a call-girl blush. (Including house party games including her friends’ boyfriends and different colored lipsticks.) 🙀

And to paint a picture of the teacher: She stole all of the newspapers from our middle school one week and made us, her students, spend an entire study hall filling out ballots for her toddler daughter win the City’s Miss Winter pageant.

Just to be clear, my mom DID go off on that woman and teachers learned very quickly that that little girl’s mom was a bitch.

Bouncing around.

I was 12. She was in her 40s. My boobs were probably bigger than hers.

How did this help me?
I learned, that as a girl, it was MY RESPONSIBILITY to make sure my body wasn’t a distraction to the boys (and jealous women) in the classroom.

T-shirt. A stark difference from my black and white zippered shirt.

I was mortified and the only thing that made it worse was when I got home and laid into by my mother who told me that my teacher called her saying

“I was ROMPING around the classroom, waving my shirt in the air” with my boobs

Of a male classmate whose eyes, I immediately noticed, went to my boobs. I panicked and demonstrated that I could zip my shirt up entirely and she told me “No.”

What I was wearing was NOT appropriate and I needed to change.

I went to the dean’s office and changed into a Red “Happy Birthday WMS!”

I was in my study hall with other students when the teacher walked in right before the bell rang. I ran up to her to excitedly share some story and she pulled me into the hall to tell me my outfit was inappropriate and I needed to go see the dean to change my clothes.

She did this right in front

And before anyone says anything: Yes, I am aware that Picasso was a womanizing, arrogant asshole. Unfortunately, arrogance befalls a lot of artists who find great success in their lifetime. It’s not an excuse for his behavior, but I can still appreciate his talent while acknowledging his faults.
