The constant pendulum of wanting another baby but unsure if it would completely break you… Do I have another baby? Or do I honor my limits by giving up something I always imagined?

The government cannot stop you from informing others about their legal rights.

Know your rights when educating your community.
Know Your Rights | Talking to People About Their Rights | ACLU
You have the right to share truthful, lawfully obtained information about law enforcement and tell people about their legal rights—even if they’re in trouble. You can also advocate for changes to laws...

Hey #birthworkersofskyblue !
I’m looking to brush up & expand my library. I went back to DONA’s “Cultural Humility” books section & was a little underwhelmed.

Looking for book recommendations for these topics & communities - especially ones written by authors in these communities

Whenever my son is facing an experience that feels new or scary, I try to remain grounded, calm, & just remind him what being brave means:
It’s not an absence of fear.
✨It’s being afraid AND doing the scary thing anyway✨

This quote gives me a reciprocal feeling. Sharing in case you need it, too ❤️
Tyranny requires your fear and your silence and your compliance.

Democracy requires your courage.

So gather your justice and humanity, Illinois, and do not let despair overcome us when our country needs us the most.

1. Did you know that Girl Scouts has, for a long time, accepted trans girls and nonbinary scouts?

Trans kids are under attack. Every year, I make a thread of trans and nonbinary girl scouts you can get your cookies from.

Lets get our cookies from them this year in solidarity!

This year, consider ordering your Girl Scout cookies from a trans girl scout to make their day!

The Trump administration is scrubbing the CDC’s website of documents on reproductive rights issues, sexual health, intimate partner violence, and more.

I'm trying to save them.

You can find the deleted docs at CDCGuidelines.com - I'll be adding more over the weekend.

Birthwork is intersectional.
Birthwork is understanding how multiple systems of oppression and privilege can affect the postpartum experience: race, gender, ageism, ableism, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, immigration status…
