Developed and published by Konami in 1994 for the SEGA Genesis, this game is currently unavailable to be purchased or played on modern platforms, so you know what to do.

A similar game starring the Looney Tunes was released last year, but it was so bad, it shattered all my hopes and dreams.

Game 328: Tiny Toon Adventures: ACME All-Stars

This show had a surprisingly solid lineup of games back in the day, courtesy of Konami back when it was at its peak. And among them was a really fun and chaotic compilation of sports games, and one of my favorite multiplayer titles from that era.

Yeah, 6ish hours in, I decided to drop Anno Mutationem.

The presentation is amazing, and the combat isn't bad at all, but I don't feel like seeing this one all the way through. The pacing feels weird, exploration got boring really fast, and the dialogue and plot didn't captivate me that much.

P: Pikmin 3

It was the first RTS I ever finished, and it became one of my favorite Nintendo games. I played the first and fourth games this year too, but Pikmin 3 is the one that made the biggest impression on me.

It's right around the corner, words cannot describe how excited I am to finally get this one 💚

Man, I love discovering new games out of nowhere so much.

Today I stumbled opon this roguelike beat 'em up called Streets of Red, and turns out it is made by the same studio as Double Dragon Gaiden, one of my favorites of all time.

Needless to say, I spent the whole afternoon playing it 🔥

A few come to mind.

Game 327: Streets of Rage 2

Easily one of the best beat 'em ups of all time, it wasn't the first game in the genre that I played, but it was definitely the one that ignited my passion for it. The combat feels amazing, it looks really slick, and dude, THAT SOUNDTRACK!! I just love this one.

My favorite characters of 2025? That's easy.

L: Lorelei and the Laser Eyes

This game is like 95% exploration and puzzles, which is waaay past my comfort zone. But that presentation really grabbed me, and I'm really glad that it did, because this is one of the best mystery games out there.

Game 326: Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure

Capcom took a quick glance at the Wii Remote and went like, "dude, I have like 200 ideas on how to use this controller." And that's how one of the most charming and creative adventure games the company has ever made was born.

Western audiences would have their first real go with the game in 2007, with the release of Dracula X Chronicles which, on top of being a pretty cool remake, also came with the original Rondo of Blood, and a port of Symphony of the Night too.

You know, the best game of all time? Yeah, that one.
November 21, 2025 at 2:48 PM
Now, this game was developed for the PC Engine and released exclusively in Japan. However, the rest of the world had the opportunity to play as Richter Belmont in Dracula X, released for the SNES in 1995. And... it's fine. It's basically "diet Rondo of Blood" but the level design is a lot different.

Game 235: Castlevania - Rondo of Blood

Decided to come with a banger today. Peak Castlevania goodness, starring a fan-favorite Belmont and offering a challenging and highly replayable adventure, thanks to its multiple alternate paths. Also, it has one of the greatest soundtracks in all of gaming.

What are your favorite games from Square|Enix that aren't Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest?

Squaresoft's run on the PS1 has got to be one of the strongest in all of gaming, and I'm not even an RPG guy.

(I know three of these games are technically RPGs, but I digress)

It's very strange that both Bleach and Hunter x Hunter games were snubbed. I know they aren't "game of the year material," but considering Jump Force was nominated at the time, they should at least be nominated, instead of having compilations of old games.

That said, my vote goes to CFG2 lmao

Game 324: Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo

Described by the developers as an "Yoyovania" (amazing) this is a really awesome adventure game with a great sense of humor, plenty of secrets to find and challenging puzzles to solve, and a surprisingly amount of tricky platforming sections to engage with.
November 20, 2025 at 1:27 PM
Officially halfway there!

Pipistrello is such a delightful game, easily one of the best of the year. That last stretch was pretty hard tho 🫠

I had forgotten that Neon Inferno comes out tomorrow 😭

I'll have to take a quick break from my backlog, because there's no way I'm not playing this one on launch day.

It was my first Klonoa platformer, but weirdly enough, as a kid I had a bootleg copy of Klonoa Beach Volleyball, a spin-off that never released in North America, and that, of all games, was my first experience with the franchise haha
November 19, 2025 at 2:06 PM
Game 323: Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil

Another marvelous adventure, that not only maintain the level of quality of the first game, but improves upon it. More creative level designs, more clever puzzles, It's just an excellent sequence overall.

Oh, and this one also has the potential to make you cry.
November 19, 2025 at 12:17 PM
This man defeated Dracula on the same yeah Limp Bizkit released "Significant Other"

Coincidence? I DON'T THINK SO!
November 19, 2025 at 12:30 AM
Game 322: Klonoa - Door to Phantomile

I like Klonoa, he's a cool little fella. This is such a gem of a game, one of the most charming platformers of its gen, filled with great platforming and clever puzzles to engage with.

Oh, and it will absolutely make you cry at the end.

No, seriously.

I just spent half an hour getting my ass kicked by M. Bison in Street Fighter EX2, only to finally beat him and get nothing but a "Thank you for playing" screen.

And I would do it all again ✨
