I asked 50 New Yorkers for their best restaurant recommendations. ❤️‍🔥

At least once a week, someone asks me for a rec, and while I’m happy to oblige, it’s more fun (and useful) to gather intel from people I know, adore and trust.
50 (Yes, 50) Restaurant Recs From New Yorkers
Consider this your new guide to New York City restaurants + some bonus LA recs.

Every word I read about congestion pricing reminds me of when they reintroduced wolves in Yellowstone and the whole ecosystem started working correctly again.
"More people visited the Business Improvement Districts within Manhattan’s congestion relief zone in January than during the same month last year, dispelling some business owners’ fears that the toll would deter visitors to Manhattan’s core..." [Subscription required]
Business foot traffic is up within the congestion pricing zone
A million more people visited the city’s Business Improvement Districts in Manhattan below 60th Street in January.

I can't stop talking about how much I love Japan. I spent two weeks in Tokyo, Kyoto & Osaka — with a day trip to Uji sprinkled in — and it was magical.

For The Michelin Guide, I explored why Ace Hotel Kyoto is a great home base for travelers who are visiting Japan for the first time.

One of the best pieces of career advice I've been told is: "What got you here won’t get you there." In other words, fellow creators don't keep repeating the same formula, hoping to yield different results. Keep innovating, creating, throwing ideas at the wall, trying new things, and taking risks.
