No human being is illegal
Today I said to my son that the way to distinguish ai writing from human writing is intentionality, and advised to write with the heart, human writing is creating purposeful meaning straight from the soul. Does that make any sense?

I’m just amazed at how authentic that nazi salute was that people are saying nah doesn’t look like one. Yeah maybe cos we are not used to people doing it out in the open like that… for very legitimate reasons

Happened today.
My son’s history teacher said kids must learn obedience to join the “workforce”. I argued should we teach critical thinking to make a better society?

Later, my sister told me a teacher and 6 students came to her shop during school hours for plastic flowers for a Valentine’s display.

We’re doomed.

Yes person on the internet Syrians are aware that everything isn’t perfect and that there are challenges ahead. I think they didn’t need you to tell them that given that it’s been 5 decades of tyranny and no country ever emerged from tyranny without challenges ahead.

a new statement from Têkoşîna Anarşîst (Anarchist Struggle) a revolutionary anarchist organization fighting alongside SDF in Rojava

“We, as anarchist and as revolutionaries, can’t do anything else than to celebrate one tyrant less. Cheers for that!”

Reducing all the Syrians pouring out of prisons right now to al qaeda affiliates is actually a racist thing to say just fyi! Hope that's clear!

I can't express to you all how incredible this moment is. The amount of Syrian joy. Never seen before. After 10 years of setbacks, of massacres, of erasure, of gaslighting, of imprisonment, of betrayal, of exile, of fear, of disrespect the Syrian people are victorious. Prisons liberated. Assad gone.

Immense joy that a tyrant is gone and people now have the opportunity to rebuild. Some trepidation there.

This is one book I’ve read that feels very relevant today.

What are your essential / recommended reads on this?

An extraordinary moment.
Cannot even put into words the joy I feel tonight.

Syria freed by Syrians. The largest prison break in history. Friends reuniting with disappeared relatives presumed dead who’ve “come back to life”

Extraordinary.

Shocking to see people call her thesis 'useless’ on x then leading to threats! Criticisms of wokeness aside, it’s alarming that people think the humanities are worthless unless they serve a purpose. Isn’t intellectual work (learning to think) a good in itself?
