I'm not going to get into an indoor vs. outdoor cat debate but I want to point out that Jan - Mar is coyote mating season in North America, which means coyotes are more agitated and territorial and therefore an increased danger to outdoor cats. Make the best decisions you can for your pets, please.

What happened tonight will have ramifications across the world in the days, weeks and months to come, and we need answers and action taken.

This feels more relevant than ever to remind people (especially americans like myself), to NOT fall into the doomerism spiral. Quite honestly we shouldnt be feeling doomed for ourselves as we will not experience the harm that will come. But we SHOULD feel angry and demand change.

Feeling this and embodying this 2026. Doomer/defeatism is a level of pessimism you DONT want. Just like you shouldnt stay blissfully ignorant. Balance the good & bad.

Know bad happens and could come but dont take it as a sign of doom, just a challenge to strive for happier days.
