This #IndigenousPeoplesDay, I'm setting aside some time to learn more about the Coast Salish peoples on whose land my home city was built. I'd highly recommend anyone reading this look into historical and contemporary Coast Salish art and the stories behind it.

It's still utterly mystifying to me that so many people thought electing a guy previously most famous for yelling "YOU'RE FIRED!" would result in *more* people having jobs.
