A big story overheard by media (thank you @krutikhin.bsky.social for noticing). Former Yukos shareholders are seizing Russian assets in Norway (state-owned coal producer Arcticugol) www.dn.no/jus/yukos/mi...
Yukos-aksjonærer tar utlegg for 57 milliarder i russisk Svalbard-eiendom (+)
Tidligere Yukos-aksjonærer som tapte verdiene sine da oljeselskapet ble nasjonalisert for 20 år siden, forsøker nå å sikre erstatningen i blant annet en eiendom på Svalbard.

Another Russian major which is sinking is Russian Post. With 200k employees, debt almost the size of Revenue and no money to repay them. They are likely to require billions of USD from the state budget or go bankrupt

Two major and strategic Russian companies on the verge of collapse:
1. Rosgeo (100% state owned) 60B of debt defaulted in Oct’24
2. Segezha (wood processing): 180B of debt, on the verge of restructuring (converting debt into shares)

Why it is important?

I doubt that Gazprom will fire 40% of their HQ. They are likely just to be transferred from HQ to subsidiaries which will only lower their salaries
Gazprom went from claiming to become the first one trillion dollar company in the world to mass layoffs and likely even chapter 11, thanks to Putin’s gas wars and his failed military aggression in Ukraine.
