I can understand that. At the same time, very little about the structure, size, placement and density of buildings on mordheim board properly models a medieval city either. It's contrivances in the name of gameplay and convenience from top to bottom. Boards too concerned with diorama play poorly.

Gorgeous work! If you're looking for a slightly less intense texture for future stucco, give Winsor&Newton Sand Texture gel (lightly stippled) a try. Stuff works wonders.

Your terrain looks awesome! Perfectly weathered, ruined and dirty, as it should be :-)

Small suggestion: make 2-3 risers. Changing the 'base height' of the board has a huge positive impact on gameplay for very little effort.
