Lab professionals out there know that you pour a little solution back in and shake it up to make sure you dissolve alllll the powder in the vial so the concentration's right.

We just went to a "Public Star Party" hosted by the Astronomical League and got to see Saturn's rings and its moon Titan! So glad I live in an area where so many cool things are happening all the time.

When my kids were in rear facing car seats in the minivan I used long handled toy fish nets to hand them snacks from the front seat. Probably the best idea I've ever had.

But this one here really annoyed me. My kid added his own note after I explained that the book is wrong about how dinosaurs walked and that he'd do better observing the neighbor's chickens if he wanted something closer to accuracy.

I know the "Who Would Win" book series isn't tip top science but I have yelled at this book three times in five minutes while reading it to my kids.
My 7yo even caught this one. "Venomous means it hurts you if IT bites YOU and poisonous is it's bad for YOU to eat IT."

Success. Kids got candy, several new families joined the PTA, and we were able to inform a lot of people about important upcoming decisions from the board of education, and how they can advocate for their kids and our school.
And people liked the tentacle beast.

Not as huge a turnout as I expected for #NoKings in Columbia MD today, but I'm told a lot of folks attended the rally beforehand (which I missed) to hear Senator Van Hollen speak.
